Hygiene Policy
At VC Salon, we are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our team and clients. We have implemented various procedures per the latest government guidance, which will remain in place until further notice.
Our Team
- To help maintain a safe environment for everyone, all team members will undergo temperature checks upon arrival and at two-hour intervals throughout the day. Anyone with a temperature reading of 38°C or higher will be asked to return home.
- All our team will be wearing face masks and gloves.
- Due to social distancing measures and increased appointment times, our team works alternate days but with additional working hours.
- All our team has been trained to properly sanitize all their tools and the chair and workstation between clients.
- Not having any staff in the salon that has come into contact with anyone ill.
Our Clients
- Social distancing and the spacing of chairs.
- Not shaking hands or hugging.
- Hand sanitisers at multiple locations in the salon.
- Not using magazines.
- All teams wash their hands before and after every client.
- Constant disinfecting of all salon surfaces.
- Staggered appointment times.
- Not handling cash. Only card or online payment methods.
- Asking clients not to come in if there is any chance that they may be ill or have come into contact with anyone who has been sick.
- Upon entering the salon, we ensure all clients are immediately offered hand sanitizer.
- The salon door will be locked, and we cannot take ‘walk-ins’ until further notice. Clients are asked to call/text the salon on arrival and remain in their car until we text them to say we are ready for them.
- You will be greeted at the door with a smile and hand sanitizer and have your temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer. Anyone with a temperature above 38°C will be asked to reschedule later.
- Clients will be offered gloves for their time on the premises.
- Clients will not be offered face masks for their time on the premises.
- The social distancing of 1.5 meters means we only use half of our usual styling positions and hair stations.
- We have staggered appointment times to avoid congestion points.
- We are only allowing people with clients in the salon. Further notice we can accommodate children, family members, or friends waiting for you.
- Unfortunately, we can only serve refreshments until further notice, but we are happy to refill any water bottle you bring.
- Appointment times have been increased to constantly sanitize all our salon tools, chairs, workstations, surfaces, etc., between each client.
- Some of our routine salon services are temporarily unavailable due to time constraints.
- Please pay by credit/debit card to avoid the need to handle cash. The credit card terminal will be disinfected between every transaction.
- We request you carry only a small purse for cards and mobile and not have any shopping bags, handbags, or other belongings during this time for your safety and others.
